06. Hydrogen specialist corporate

  • The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy has enacted the world's first hydrogen act, namely "Act on the Promotion of Hydrogen Economy and Safety Management of Hydrogen" (Hydrogen Act), and is implementing a hydrogen specialist company verification system (Article 11 of the Hydrogen Act).
  • A hydrogen specialist company refers to a company whose revenue or investment in hydrogen-related research and development (R&D) makes up a certain percentage of its total revenue. The government provides administrative and financial support to the designated hydrogen specialist companies, including R&D demonstration and overseas expansion supports.
  • Gasroad was designated as a hydrogen specialist company in August 2022 for its co-firing and full combustion technologies for gas turbines, as well as hydrogen safety equipment (testing equipment, evaluation equipment).
